Graduation Requirements
In order to receive a degree and take the next step towards a career in funeral service, students graduating from the Online Associate of Science program at Worsham must satisfy the following:
- Achieve a cumulative 2.0 GPA.
- Additionally, students must achieve a grade of ‘C’ (72) or better in all core courses, including Cremation, Embalming, Restorative Art, Funeral Service Law, Funeral Directing and Marketing in order to successfully progress through the program.
- Complete Practicum: Funeral Directing which includes participation in five (5) first calls, five (5) arrangement conferences, five (5) funeral service observations, and proper completion of necessary paperwork.
- Complete Practicum: Embalming and actively participate in a minimum of 14 embalmings.
- Complete Professional Review, which includes meeting all requirements as outlined in the course, and sitting for and providing documentation of taking both the Arts and Sciences National Board Exams within 30 days of the end of the fourth semester.
- Complete Exit Counseling.
- Satisfy all indebtedness to the College.
